The Problem
A fashion e-commerce brand selling on Shopify, Amazon, and their own website was managing inventory in a shared Excel sheet. Overselling happened 15–20 times per month as staff failed to update stock across all channels simultaneously. Emergency sourcing to fulfil oversold orders cost ₹2–4 lakh per month in expedite fees and lost customer trust.
Our Solution
An n8n orchestration layer connects Shopify, Amazon SP-API, and the warehouse WMS. Every order triggers a real-time stock deduction across all channels within 90 seconds. When any SKU drops below the reorder point, a WhatsApp alert fires to the buying team with an AI-generated reorder suggestion.

Mapped all inventory touchpoints: Shopify webhooks, Amazon SP-API, WMS API, and the manual Excel override process.
Source-of-Truth Design
Designed the warehouse WMS as the single source of truth. All channels read from it; only warehouse stock changes update the master.
Real-Time Sync Engine
n8n webhook listeners on Shopify and Amazon for order events; WMS polling every 5 minutes as backup for any missed webhooks.
AI Reorder Logic
GPT-4o analyses 90-day sales velocity, current stock, and supplier lead time to recommend reorder quantity and timing.
Reporting Dashboard
Looker Studio dashboard pulling from a Google Sheets data warehouse that n8n populates hourly with channel-wise stock data.
